Testimonials

"PA has coached our kids for the past 10 years and he has been a valuable part of our family plan. He has instilled in our children principles that transcend tennis, such as "no excuses" and "no shortcuts." Our kids now understand the value of hard work and the joy of becoming good competitors. PA always says that "if you work hard, good things will happen," that the harder you work the luckier you get. Our children will remember PA's lessons long after they stop tournament competition."

"PA changed my grip, my attitude and my life when he started coaching me around 1981. He taught me to be self-reliant, self-confident and self-motivated. For the record, he changed my grip because my forehand would break down under pressure. He changed my attitude because I would become upset when my forehand broke down under pressure! See the pattern? He not only influenced my tennis career, but my professional life as well. I apply the principles he taught me on the court over twenty years ago to my broadcasting job everyday. Now, I try to keep my forecast from breaking down under pressure!"

"We have 4 children who have taken lessons from P.A. for 15 years now. This has evolved from 10 and under junior tennis to high school tennis state championships and culminating in College Tennis. P.A. is an unbelievable teacher of proper technique and strategy. His ability to point out what happened at the key time in a match to change the match is without parallel. We can honestly say that P.A. has been one of the most instrumental figures in our childrens' lives. Our kids have learned perseverance and determination in their time with P.A. He has been a great tennis teacher in many ways, but more importantly has been a mentor as to sportsmanship, self-confidence, academics, and relationships with others. Many times our kids have come home telling us as much about their talk with P.A. as what they worked on in their tennis lesson. It is these lessons and times that they will always remember. We are convinced that they will each have a lifelong relationship with P.A. that will transcend tennis, and for this we will always be grateful."

"P.A. taught me much more than being a tournament tennis player. He helped teach me how to be a competitor, how to find ways to win and ultimately how to learn from defeat. I often think back to my tennis days and lessons learned from P.A."

"There is not a more dedicated coach in tennis than P.A. He has a real passion for the game of tennis that is rare. P.A. taught me so much more than sound technique and how to be a competitor. He helped me to realize that character, respect, and sportsmanship were more important than winning. What I learned from him has positively influenced my own coaching style and the values I am teaching my own children. I hope someday they are lucky enough to have a coach who will care about them as much as P.A. cared about me."
